Balfour Liberty’s Bacchus 2025

Balfour Liberty’s Bacchus 2025

Named after the family Dalmatian, Liberty; lively, bright, and impossible not to love. Elderflower, citrus and a hint of hedgerow herbs give it a bright, zippy personality, while just enough structure and subtle oak whisper that it isn’t all play. Some insist on calling it “England’s answer to Sauvignon Blanc”. Step aide Savvy B, bottle of Libby B anyone?

  • Grapes:  Bacchus.
  • Flavours: Crisp apple with a splash of rose and citrus spice
  • Food Pairing: Wonderful with asparagus, artichoke and delicate goats cheese.  Seafood – Skye lobster and Langoustines. Chicken – including creamy sauces.  Sundowners on Coral Beach will be memorable with this classic home-grown white!
  • Alcohol: 12.5%

A significant wine that is punching alongside much more expensive examples.

Beautifully aromatic with rich fruity depth on the palate of morello cherries and ripe black plum. Sensational length on the finish.
  • Aging: 12 months in oak casks procures aromatic complexity.

The flavour is both long and persistent and highlights the impeccable balance between fruit, tannin and acidity.
  • Aging: Ages for 18 months in mainly French barriques, approximately 20% new oak.
  • Food Pairing: Beef, pork and lamb. BBQ. Great with spicy food – curries and Asian dishes. Enjoy from your accommodation with the MacLeod Tables in the distance, chilled or at room temperature.
